Apple Pie Eggrolls

You may be wondering: “How do they come up with all these recipes?” Well, the truth is, inspiration often comes from the Lord, but sometimes we don’t listen as carefully as we should (anyone else ever have that problem?). And that’s how this month’s kitchen adventure happened!

We had some leftover egg roll wrappers lying around and didn’t want to waste them, so we thought, “Why not try apple pie egg rolls?” It sounded like a brilliant idea at the time. The concept was perfect: sweet, coriander-spiced apples wrapped in crispy shells—an easy, portable dessert.

But sometimes, the best-laid plans go sideways. The result? A gooey, slightly crunchy mess that we lovingly decided to call a “flooper”—our newest addition to our Floopers (Food Bloopers) collection.

The goal of sharing our Floopers is simple: so you never make the same mistake we did! Plus, it’s a reminder that the kitchen is a place for creativity, experimentation, and a little laughter along the way. Scroll to the end of the page to see the full “flooper” reveal—and maybe a tip or two for turning this misstep into a future success!

Answer: In our excitement, we forgot to peel the apples before wrapping them -turns out “apple pie egg rolls” don’t double as jaw exercise… otherwise, this could have been legendary!
